Oni・Otafuku・Masu
Setsubun is a traditional Japanese seasonal celebration, during which roasted soybeans are scattered to dispel misfortune and welcome good fortune.
Oni
Crafted in the style of kinton, with a delicate coating made from white bean paste and agar, finished in a softly crumbled texture. Filled with whole azuki bean paste. The horns are made from kelp.
Otafuku
Shaped with a gentle, serene expression, symbolizing the arrival of good fortune. Made with light, steamed joyo dough prepared from Japanese yam, rice flour, and sugar, and filled with smooth azuki bean paste.
Masu
Inspired by the wooden box traditionally used during Setsubun bean-scattering rituals. The outer layer is made of soft konashi dough, while the center features sweetened Dainagon azuki beans and green peas, delicately set in yokan.
