Nanakusa Ohagi
Jinjitsu no Sekku, observed on January 7, is one of Japan’s five traditional seasonal festivals. In Japan, it is customary on January 7 to eat the traditional seven herbs, wishing for good health and freedom from illness throughout the year.
This seasonal ohagi is made with glutinous rice mixed with seven herbs and filled with smooth azuki bean paste.
