Hanamoyo
Spring is in full bloom.
We sought to capture the classical springtime imagery of the lovely petals of the sakura tree as they gently fall towards the water, coloring the surface with light pink.
Then, like little pebbles at the bottom of a river, Dainagon, Tebo, and Uguisu beans are beautifully layered in the bottom half of this yokan (sweet bean jelly).
It is then covered with murasame—steamed crumbles of rice flour and white bean paste—to represent cherry blossom petals in full bloom.
