Chimaki
A traditional sweet associated with a Chinese legend, chimaki are rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves.
They are enjoyed during Tango no Sekku (Boys’ Day or Children's Day) on May 5 as a prayer for children's healthy growth and protection from illness. Tango no Sekku is one of Japan’s five traditional seasonal festivals.
Sold as a set of three. The leaves are not edible.
