Kanzemizu
Since ancient times, water has been regarded as auspicious, symbolizing purification and the dispelling of impurity. Flowing water, which never stagnates and remains ever clear, represents a wish for continued health and purity throughout life’s changes. The swirling water motif, known as Kanzemizu, originates from the Kanze School of Noh theater, which adopted it as a formal design.
Made of uiro dough, filled with smooth white azuki bean paste.
